Become a safe and competent diver who knows where to go at all times thanks to SSI’s Navigation specialty. You will learn how to use a diving compass, advanced orientation techniques, and much more.

In this specialty program, you will acquire the advanced knowledge and skills you need to navigate underwater with complete safety and confidence.
In the on line study kit, you will learn the main orientation techniques and basic orientation patterns with compass and natural orientation. You will also discover how orientation techniques can be combined to enhance your diving experience.
We will complete the theoretical training with an academic session where we will share what you have learned, we will solve your doubts and we will provide you with resources so that you learn well the mastery of orientation techniques.
In the practical part we will do 2 dives in which we will do exercises with the compass so that you can use it effectively and we will also practice natural orientation. In this way, you will hone your underwater observation skills, improve your safety when diving and enjoy all your dives to the fullest.
Upon completion of the entire program, you will earn your SSI Navigation Specialty Certification.
Course duration: 1 or 2 days (2 dives)
Requirements:
- Open Water Certification or equivalent from another agency
- Minimum age 12 years
- Diving insurance. If you do not have insurance, you can hire it here or at the dive center.
